POSSIBLE A&D INCIDENT – On 10/7 an incident occurred with a coach of a U13 team that required his removal. Coach will have to be brought before A&D before he is allowed on SASA premises again. An interim coach is needed to finish the season.
ODP TRYOUTS – Tryouts went well with around 40 kids participating. The Dallas crew seemed to be impressed citing good technical skills and noting tactical skills could be improved. Coaches may return for some clinics for both players and coaches.

CHEVY SKILLS CLINIC – Board reminded of event which will occur on 10/25. Free, commissioners will remind their coaches and flyers will be passed out during weekend games.
CITY OF SAN ANGELO CONTRACT REVIEW – Contract reviewed by attorney. He noted that any leftover money after 5 years could be required to go to The Army Corps of Engineers. Travis should look into that fact. A capital improvement must be show each year. Improvements to parking lot have been made. Corps has inspected. A drop off outside of concession stands might be something to look into. Also noted was the handicap ramp, could be improved for better utilization. City has $7,500 earmarked for SASA, possible to use money for that. Corps owns, City has contract and we lease from the City. We want to propose a residental water rate. Travis will talk to the city. Susan will talk to attorney about working in the change and creating a proposal.
TROPHIES – U3-U4, 59 kids will receive a “Little Buddy” trophy. We have those on hand. U5-U8, 279 girls and 284 boys will likely receive medals instead. We do have some on hand and Bethany will assist in getting the SASA logo on them for the kids. We will purchase new for the U9-U12 awards. Motion to use what we have on hand currently made by Richard, Wendy second. Carried, no opposed.
U13-U14 TEAMS EXPAND TO MIDLAND – Susan would like to expand to Midland in who this age group plays. Nobody opposes this idea and Susan will get this started.
LIGHTS – Turning on large lights for night games and practices are costly but nothing we are prepared to take away from the kids. We will look into replacing current lighting with LED lights to help with the cost of using the lights.
